About Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills:
Forest Lawn Memorial Park – Hollywood Hills is one of the six Forest Lawn Southern California cemeteries. It is located at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, California 90068, in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
Located close to Griffith Park, this idyllic landscape showcases a unique collection of American and Mesoamerican artwork, from larger-than-life statues of Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln to historic artifacts from the Olmec, Aztec, and Mayan civilizations.
Forest Lawn — Hollywood Hills has some of the most spectacular scenery in Los Angeles, with stunning vistas of the San Fernando Valley and the Los Angeles skyline.
The Forest Lawn memorial parks are renowned for the many movie stars buried there, so I suppose it’s appropriate that this Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills overlooks Disney Studios, Universal Studios, and Warner Bros.
Some of Hollywood celebrities buried here as there are at the original Forest Lawn park in Glendale, are still many notables to be found, including Bette Davis, Lucille Ball, Telly Savalas,William Conrad, Buster Keaton, Liberace, Freddie Prinze, Andy Gibb, Jack Webb, Stan Laurel, Ricky Nelson and many more. More recently, Brittany Murphy, John Ritter, Gene Autry, Sandra Dee, Lou Rawls, Rod Steiger, Isabel Sanford, David Carradine, and Steve Allen have been buried here. Also Hollywood’s Celebrity Publicist Eugenia Wright who died on March 31, 2011 is resting at Forest Lawn — Hollywood Hills.
The funeral for superstar Michael Jackson took place at the Hall of Liberty, on July 7th, 2009. But he was buried permanently at Forest Lawn Glendale (not here at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills). Actress Debbie Reynolds (“Singin’ in the Rain“) and her daughter, Carrie Fisher (“Star Wars“) were buried here, together, on January 6, 2017.
