The MMPA presented students with financial awards for their film projects. The event was hosted by Chris Schauble, KNBC-4 Los Angeles News Anchor.
The students were expected to meet this year 82nd Academy Award Nominees: Lee Daniels, and the cast of “Precious” Gabourey Sidibe, Monique, Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, Anika Noni Rose (The Frog Princess), Aaron Quinn, (The Blind Side) Tom Ford and David Scaerce (A Single Man) Kimberley Myers and Shelly Jo Reesman. The expected celebrities guests were Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, Sandra Bullock , Carrey Mulligan, Anna Kendrick, Tami Farrell, Jeremy Renner, Henry Selick, Jon Musker, Ron Clements, Judith Ehrlich, Rick Goldsmith, Robert Kenner, Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, Elise Pearlstein, Stephen Bognar, Gregori J Martin , Tivi Magnusson, Joel & Ethan Coen and more.
Some of the celebrities the attended were Singer Allison Iraheta, Model Sophie Turner, Actress Lily Collins, Actor Quinton Aaron, Ray McKinnon, Model Derek Pratt, Nurse Cherilyn Lee, Actor Lorenzo Lamas and fiance Shawna Craig.
