The 92nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade: A Spectacular Celebration Supporting Marine Toys for Tots.

Hollywood, CA — On Sunday, December 1, 2024 the red carpet was rolled out in grand style tonight for the 92nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, a cherished tradition that brings joy, star power, and community spirit to the streets of Hollywood. Supporting Marine Toys for Tots, this festive event was attended by thousands of excited spectators and featured a dazzling lineup of celebrities, performers, and holiday-themed attractions.

A Star-Studded Affair

Jeremy Renner, the acclaimed actor and philanthropist, served as this year’s Grand Marshal, adding a touch of Hollywood magic to the parade. Renner, accompanied by his daughter Ava Berlin Renner, led the 3.2-mile route, which began at Orange Street and Hollywood Boulevard.

Mario Lopez, beloved host and actor, was honored with the 2024 Humanitarian of the Year Award for his outstanding contributions to the community through the Mario Lopez Family Foundation.

The parade was hosted by a stellar lineup of personalities, including Dean Cain, Laura McKenzie, Montel Williams, and Elizabeth Stanton. They brought the festivities to life from the TCL Industries Holdings Co., Ltd. stage.

Spectacular Entertainment and Performances

The parade showcased an extraordinary lineup of talent, including:

  • Allison Bailey and Lauren Samuels from Wicked performing “For Good.”
  • Clay Aiken, singing a heartfelt rendition of “Do You Hear What I Hear?”
  • Anna Azerli, delivering a stunning performance of “O Come All Ye Faithful.”

From beloved TV stars like Raven-Symoné and Lou Ferrigno to musicians such as Laura Bryna, the event was brimming with familiar faces. Marching bands, larger-than-life character balloons, and colorful floats further enriched the evening.

A Heartfelt Tribute

This year’s parade was dedicated to two Hollywood legends:

  • William “Bill” Frederick Lomas, affectionately known as “The Parade King,” who served as producer for 42 years.
  • Louis Gossett Jr., the Academy Award-winning actor who made numerous appearances in the parade, including as Grand Marshal in 1994.

Supporting Marine Toys for Tots

The parade continues its proud tradition of supporting Marine Toys for Tots, encouraging attendees to donate unwrapped toys. Donation boxes are available at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel from November 23 to December 15, 2024, offering everyone an opportunity to spread holiday cheer to children in need.

For those who missed the live festivities, the parade was taped and will air on The CW Network on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 8–10 PM ET/PT

The 12th Annual Hollywood Holiday Celebrity Toy Drive Extravaganza by MMPA and ASYM. On Wednesday, December 14, 2011, The Multicultural Motion Picture Association and American Society of Young Musicians presented their 12th Annual Hollywood Holiday Celebrity Toy Drive Extravaganza to benefit disadvantaged Children in the Los Angeles County Public Service Agencies and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

“The 12th Annual Hollywood Holiday Celebrity Toy Drive Extravaganza was a huge success! Many thanks to everyone that took time out of their schedule to participate.” said Jarvee Hutcherson, MMPA and ASYM President.

The event was hosted by XAI Verandah Lounge located at 7677 Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, California 90046 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

The requirement by event organizers was to make a donation to their charitable organizations and to take an unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more.

There was a red carpet, dessert table, gift bag given to all attendees at the end of event which included a CD from Izzy Chait title “Izzy Chait Love For The Holidays”.

Some of the celebrities and personalities the brought unwrapped toys and the attended the event were Dr. Mark Valinsky, Kitty Pleasant, Juan Hutcherson, Jennifer Murphy, Johnny Venokur and many more.

Also there was a live performance by Izzy Chait and oh course Santa Claus was among the guests.

The Multicultural Motion Picture Association and American Society of Young Musicians are 501c3 non-profit organizations.
