When the American performer Gene Autry, who was known as The Singing Cowboy, was riding on his horse down Hollywood Boulevard in the 1946 Santa Claus Lane Parade, he heard young parade spectators in the crowd exclaim, “Here comes Santa Claus!” This incident became the inspiration for Autry to compose the traditional perennial Christmas holiday song, “Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane),” which he co-wrote with Oakley Haldeman in 1949. Autry first recorded the song in 1947. The song was released as a single by Columbia Records, and became a #5 country and #9 pop hit at the time. Gene Autry is the only celebrity to have five stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one in each of the five categories, Motion Pictures, Radio, Recording, Television and Live Theater. Today the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard at Highland Avenue, part of the Hollywood Christmas Parade route, is named Gene Autry Square.

The parade will travel along a 3.2 mile U-shaped route starting at Orange Street and Hollywood Boulevard traveling east on Hollywood Boulevard to Vine Street, turning south on Vine Street to Sunset Boulevard, and then turning west on Sunset Boulevard traveling back to Orange Street. The Origin and Evolution of the Marine Toys for Tots Program 77 Years Ago: Toys for Tots began in 1947 as the brainchild of Marine Corps Reserve Major
Bill Hendricks. Actually it was his wife, Diane Hendricks, who was the real inspiration. She had a few handcrafted dolls and asked Bill to deliver them to an agency that supports children in need. When Bill Hendricks reported back to his wife that he could not find such an organization, she instructed him to “start one!” Major Hendricks and the Marines in his reserve unit in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys in 1947. Seeing such successful community engagement in 1947, the Commandant directed all Marine Reserve Sites to implement a Toys for Tots campaign, transforming it into a national community action program in 1948. Bill Hendrick’s civilian job was Director of Public Relations at Warner Brothers Studios. He had many celebrity friends who he asked to help support the newly created Marine Toys for Tots Program. As a personal friend and as a favor to Bill Hendricks, Walt Disney designed the first Toys for Tots poster, which included a miniature three-car train that was subsequently adopted as the Toys for Tots logo.
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity, was established in 1991 at the behest of the Marine Corps to help run and support the Marine Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation raises funds, purchases toys, provides promotional and support materials, manages all funds raised and donated, solicits corporate support, educates the public, and handles day-to-day operations. Presently, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less fortunate children annually. To learn more, please visit: https://toysfortots.org

However, the song that propelled her to stardom was the 1984 chart-topping, GRAMMY® award-winning song, “I Feel For You,” written and first performed by Prince.
Despite her busy schedule, Chaka has always made time to support and uplift her community. In 1999 she established the Chaka Khan Foundation which educates, inspires and empowers children to achieve their full potential. Through the Chaka Believes Program, the foundation gives children in Los Angeles who are at risk, either through poverty or through health issues like autism, the ability to achieve their dreams and give back to the community.

The short film, “Tacos for lunch” comes from Chandan Gupta in order to educate the public about immigration and hopes to show both sides of the issue. Launched in 2013, the short film is 23 minutes and 45 seconds long. It stands out in the middle of the maelstrom that is causing the immigration issue.
In about a month, the creation and writer-director will premiere the film on Channel 22 in Las Vegas Century Prism and states that Joey Valdez, one of the actors in the film, “The aim is to disseminate it through a channel in San Diego before being broadcast in Las Vegas. Everything depends on the space available and given to us.”
When Christine, a single woman, decides to move, she enlists the help from some local day laborers. All seems to be going well, until she leaves to get “Tacos For Lunch”. She returns to a quiet apartment and a dead worker on her floor. The day continues to spiral out of control leading to a series of unexpected crazy twisted events.
The story begins with the removal of Christine (Therese McLauglhin), a US citizen, and her hiring of two Mexican immigrants, Emilio (Joey Valdez) and Paul (Billynaire Cruz), to help move boxes. By the time she leaves the house to grab a few tacos, a series of terrible events happen, culminating into an overwhelming outcome.
“We know we will be successful,” the actor told member of the press. “My agent is communicating with politicians such as Donald J. Trump Sr., to express their thoughts about the film.”
Valdez began his career very young: at age 3 he participated in his first play in the Smythe Elementary School in San Ysidro, California. Subsequently he became Joseph, the husband of the Virgin Mary in a Christmas play, and finally to the early age of 13 officially began studying acting with Drama teacher Enrique Nolasco from the House of Culture in Tijuana, Mexico.
He is now known to have worked for Ed Magik TV, a platform video entertainment and had done interviews with famous people where Valdez was the host of “Vayaconmigo” program, broadcast in Berea Vision 31.6 in Los Angeles, in which he worked with renowned artists such as singer Elvis Crespo.
Valdez is defined as a man “with traditional values who prefers to work hard for a living, rather than compromise his integrity and principles.”
In turn, the actor is a frequent host to celebrities in the online magazine Ke Chevere and as collaborated with singer and actress Carmen Jara on Univision for the show “Who is right” in Miami, which exposes and tries to solve family and marital conflict.
Joey Valdez has also participated in television projects in Indonesia and has worked as a presenter on the red carpet with his old friend Steven Escobar for Diversity News TV produced by Diversity News Productions whose content is broadcast via Youtube and Vimeo, DailyMotion, among other online platforms in video, and is based on entertainment events, celebrity interviews, awards, concerts, fashion and more.
Although the actor is confident everyone will enjoy “Tacos for lunch,” he hopes that the film reaches a significant audience—enough to impact the issues at hand and generate comments in the media, as well as prominent figures, fostering discussion, debate and more empathy towards immigration.
