RE: Amazon Flex issues in Southern CA stations

Dear Mr. Bezos,

First, I want to congratulate you on your recent divorce with Mackenzie who gave you her other 25% of her shares without creating a legal expense fight. Now you control 75% of Amazon shares and which is equal to 12% stakes of the company and more power to you Sir.

Also congratulations for owning The Washington Post. Once again congratulations to be another Steve Jobs genius with so many ventures and becoming one of the billionaires of the world.

However my reason to contact you is because I have been a partner with your company as an individual and company. Yes I have two dba partnership with your company you can visit them at www.diversitynewsmagazine.org and diversitypbandmediasgroup.com

Unfortunately Google changed the rules so money been very slow. You can’t even survive with the pennies they pay you for displaying ads. You as publisher of the Washington Post must know it since print is almost dead and online is having too much competition and revenue has increased. The cost of living keeps increasing every year and salaries are not.

Credit to: Amazon Flex

So, I jointed your Amazon Flex program on May 2018 and sometimes is great but no benefits and lots of gas expenses and car tear and wear. Not sure if you know how your stations were set up but I will give you a brief summary. In the Los Angeles County, you have East Los Angeles (DLA3) – Commerce area, Rosemead (DPS1) – El Monte area, Hawthorne – LAX area, Chino, Canoga Park – San Fernando Valley area, Irvine – Orange County area. As you may see what motivates a person to sign up for Amazon Flex is the area they are supposed to be serving. I sign up with Amazon Flex when I was living in Cudahy, CA. At the time I got Palm Springs which is very far. However later I found out of Canoga Park. I went and I did two blocks the same day.
Later I found there was one in East Los Angeles – Commerce area. I contacted support and they did the change and say that the program was open to regions and don’t need to swift because it

will show up on the app. My Amazon Flex app is set to Greater Los Angeles region. So I started to do East LA, Rosemead, Irvine and Chino stations.
Here is the issue that needs to be fixed at your stations. Last year I started to get routes from Rosemead to Orange County. I did some but because I do have a life and live in the San Gabriel Valley area I expect to work in the area not been sent over 30 miles to Orange County where I have no business to do. So I have declined couple blocks. Because your staff at the station are unprofessional and uncooperative I been trying other stations like East LA. Well they are doing the same thing sending a person away from the area. Not sure if you know what is considered East LA area? Or San Gabriel Valley area?
Please visit Wikipedia to learn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Gabriel_Valley

However I will cut and paste some of the source information here: The San Gabriel Valley is in Los Angeles County. The incorporated cities and unincorporated neighborhoods of the San Gabriel Valley include: Altadena, Alhambra, Arcadia, Avocado Heights, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bassett, Bradbury, Charter Oak, Citrus, City of Industry, Claremont, Covina, Diamond Bar, Duarte, East Pasadena, El Monte, Glendora, Hacienda Heights, Hillgrove, Irwindale, La Puente, La Verne, Los Angeles (El Sereno).

Here is another source by Wikipedia: City of Los Angeles neighborhoods of the San Fernando Valley: Arleta, Cahuenga Pass, Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Encino, Granada Hills, La Tuna Canyon
Lake Balboa, Lake View Terrace, Mission Hills, NoHo Arts District, North Hills, North
Hollywood, Northridge, Pacoima, Panorama City, Porter Ranch, Reseda, Shadow Hills+,
Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Sun Valley, Sunland-Tujunga, Sylmar, Tarzana, Toluca Lake
Valley Glen, Valley Village, Van Nuys, Warner Center, West Hills, Winnetka, Woodland Hills.

Dear Mr. Bezos, I can go on and on but you know which the current gas prices and because we have a life and your organization management decided to hire Vans to provide over $300K, they get uniforms, cellphone and lots of business while we don’t. (Please click on link https://logistics.amazon.com/marketing/opportunity).

I honestly I been telling your staff to give those jobs to your business partners not us the
individual partners that we have a life in the neighborhood we live in. Today the East LA station was sending me to Long Beach. Give me a break I don’t know the area well, neither I have any business to do there. Do you know that sone cities has been issuing us parking tickets? We have to deal with it. In the past Rosemead has sent us to La Habra, Fullerton those areas are Orange County which belongs to Irvine station. Rosemead has sent us to North Hollywood, Compton!
North Hollywood belongs to Canoga Park and Compton belowns to Hawthorne stations. Your
management needs training in geography. By the way they can save your company lots of $$$$$
if they stop doing that because that make us go over the block time and your company needs to
pay extra money

FYI, recently the Superior Court of the County of Los Angeles ruled in favor of independent
contractors that a company like you can not set quotas or force an independent contractor to do something that they don’t wish because that will make us your employees. I don’t mind to become an Amazon employee so if that what you want let your management to do so.

Here is Los Angeles Times article on the recent court ruling
https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-independent-contract-20180430-story.html Also
read California court rules gig worker initiative unconstitutional

Breaking News: Some of your current employees are trying to file a class action lawsuit against Amazon and they are reaching to us as well the independent Amazon flex to join. I haven’t taken an action but perhaps I should?

Come on, let’s be human here and not to abuse each other resources and use the current
resources you have.

Anyway, I hope to heard from you soon and I hope some action to be taken immediately across North, South, East and West of CA.

If you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 213-321- 9408 cellular or via U.S. mail to the above addresses, fax any correspondence to: 818-231-7370, Also via emails to: diversity@hotmail.com, escobarestebana@gmail.com or eae@att.net

On May 21, 2013 Eric Garcetti was elected Mayor of Los Angeles with 53.9% of votes. His term will begin in July 2013. Eric Michael Garcetti (born February 4, 1971) is the mayor-elect of Los Angeles and an outgoing member of the Los Angeles City Council, representing the 13th District.[1] He served as Council President from 2006 to 2012.[2]

Garcetti is the son of the former Los Angeles County District Attorney Gil Garcetti. A member of the Democratic Party, Garcetti won in a nonpartisan election for Mayor on May 21, 2013, defeating city Controller Wendy Greuel;[3] Garcetti is the city’s first elected Jewish mayor and its youngest in more than a century.

“Thank you Los Angeles–the hard work begins but I am honored to lead this city for the next four years. Let’s make this a great city again.” twitted Mayor elect Eric Garcetti.

“You can’t look to the stars until you’ve fixed the cracks in the sidewalk,” Los Angeles City Councilmember Eric Garcetti often says. As the third-term councilmember serving the 13th Council District, Garcetti has shown that a commitment to the street-level health of the community is a necessary first step in creating positive change. His unique combination of pothole politics and vision has won measurable results in the 13th District, showing how local solutions can show the way to make our city safer, create transportation solutions, and ease the city’s housing crisis.

A fourth-generation Angeleno, Eric Garcetti was born at Good Samaritan Hospital and grew up in Los Angeles.  He won a hotly-contested election to the Los Angeles City Council in 2001, becoming one of the youngest city councilmembers in the city’s history. Over 100 languages are spoken on the streets of his district, from Hollywood to Downtown and across the Los Angeles River. The neighborhoods he represents constitute the beating heart of Los Angeles.

Garcetti was unanimously elected as Council President in December 2005 and unanimously re-elected in July 2007 and July 2009.  During his tenure as president, he modernized the council’s legislative assignments, making the council’s committees more reflective of the issues that face Los Angeles.

During his first term in office, Garcetti emerged as an effective local problem-solver and as a strong advocate on citywide and national issues. He led the effort to fund the nation’s largest Affordable Housing Trust Fund, oversaw the economic and cultural revitalization of Hollywood, wrote and championed Proposition O to clean up our local water, won passage of a plan that eliminated the city’s business tax for 60% of all businesses, and helped bring thousands of new high wage jobs to Los Angeles and his district.  In his district, he tackled neighborhoods’ most intractable problems, nearly tripled the number of parks, ensuring the availability of an after-school program in every school in the district, and reducing graffiti by more than 60 percent.

Councilmember Garcetti’s work has been recognized in dozens of awards, including the John F. Kennedy New Frontier Award for Americans under 40 who are changing their communities with a commitment to public service; the Green Cross Millennium Award from former President Mikhail Gorbachev, for environmental leadership; a “Tiger Award” from the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, for his work on business tax reform; the New Democrat of the Week recognition from the Democratic Leadership Council, for his work on safety in commercial office buildings and security officers’ working conditions; and the first Olson Award from Human Rights Watch for his human rights activism.

The Los Angeles Times writes that Garcetti is “smart” and “imaginative” and offers the city “refreshing idealism.” He was featured in LA Weekly’s Best of Los Angeles issue and the Los Angeles Alternative Press readers named him “L.A.’s Favorite Elected Official” of 2003. In 2004, The Los Angeles Business Journal named him one of the 25 Angelenos who stand out for their potential to shape lives in Los Angeles.  A profile in Los Angeles magazine in 2006 called him “a rising star”.

Prior to his election, Garcetti taught public policy, diplomacy and world affairs at Occidental College and the University of Southern California. In 1998, the Rockefeller Foundation selected him as a Next Generation Leadership Fellow.

Eric Garcetti was raised in the San Fernando Valley. He studied urban planning and political science at Columbia University, where he received his B.A. and M.A. in International Relations. He studied as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and the London School of Economics. He is an avid photographer, jazz pianist and composer. He lives in Silver Lake with his wife, Amy Elaine Wakeland.
