Lourdes Duque Baron has accomplished a lot in her life and even at her current age of 74 she is not stopping. She is just getting started, and now she looks even younger and more beautiful than ever. Ms. Baron says that she feels like she is 34 years old not 74. After working long hours in different projects she finally got tp go on vacation. First she went to Hawaii and then Chicago. We can’t wait to see what new project ideas she brings on next.
Before she went on a well deserved vacation, she worked in a couple of projects including a stunning beautiful photoshoot on June 7, 2021 at Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA USA. We were informed that her photographer was the favorite wedding and beauty pageant celebrity photographer Huy Khiem from Huy Khiem Photography.
Yes, she still works hard. Before, during and after the Covid-19 Pandemic, she was very busy working with her movie production marketing team in the Philippines and here in the USA where she has contractors in Los Angeles and New York.
Lourdes Duque Baron has written 3 books. Her first published award winning book title is called “Scripted In Heaven”. Her second published book title is “I Called Myself Casandra” and her third published book title is “New Breed of Sapiens.” No, she did not write about snakes because of the word Sapiens. In fact her fourth book is about stem cells and their benefits. Ms. Baron may even have her fourth book in the works. In fact, our sources tells us that she is working in another book, and the title and the contents will be revealed soon.
Lourdes Duque Baron has also performed and recorded various songs, acted in various movies, and even started producing movies. Her movie credits include multi award nominated and winner Tombstone Pillow, Promdi, Ms. Lou. Her production credits include Tombstone Pillow, Promdi, Butanding, Dr. Baron, Covina.

We admire and respect Lourdes Duque Baron as well her husband Dr. Robinson Baron. Working with her is an honor and pleasure, and we try to get involved in her projects as much as we can.
This past weekend, I saw the short movie “Tombstone Pillow”. Although it is short. you will definitely become inspired and learn something memorable!
This movie is mainly about people in the Philippines living in a cemetery, and a wealthy widow. The starring roles are played by executive producer, singer, author and actress Lourdes Duque Baron as Olivia and actress Kendra Sison De Mesa as Maria Del Carmen.
Olivia goes to the cemetery to visit her husband’s tomb and an angry mob meets her. She then meets Maria Del Carmen and asks her what she is doing at her husband’s tomb. Olivia and Maria Del Carmen have no time to talk because the angry mob is heading towards her. So, Maria Del Carmen helps Olivia to flee the angry mob.
After a couple of days pass, Olivia remembers Maria Del Carmen teaching her what has real value in life. So, one night she goes looking for her at the cemetery, but the people confront her again. Olivia tells them about her past and they leave her alone. However, she finds out that Maria Del Carmen has been dead for many years.
“Tombstone Pillow” features people living in the Philippines Manila North Cemetery. We should never take for granted what we have here in the US, because we are fortunate to live in a country where our “We the People”vote counts. Also, the US government cares about us.
Directors Daniel Lir and Bayou Bennett do a great job by bringing an inspiring drama to the big screen. They also introduce us to actresses Lourdes Duque Baron and Kendra Sison De Mesa. “Tombstone Pillow” serves as a great learning lesson as well as entertainment. It is a colorful film with a very little cast and few plot twists. However, the timeline is a bit unclear at times. For a number of scenes, I felt things were rushed and it was hard to tell whether it had been hours, days or months that had passed since the last time a given character had been on screen. I think the directors should have used titles before new scenes to identify hours and days.
The one actress that gave this reviewer pause was Kendra Sison De Mesa. She seemed to have fun acting along actress Lourdes Duque Baron. It was laughable when she gave the sandals to Olivia to run in the cemetery and Kendra threw her Christian Louboutin shoes in the trash. I also enjoyed how she took Olivia’s Gucci sunglasses to wear them

Since time immemorial, we have always considered our hair as our crowning glory. Our hair simply completes our look the moment we glance at the mirror. Our hair makes us look extraordinary and distinct. At times, it serves as a mark for people to know who we are. Moreover, it makes a lot of difference to have it in varied styles, with various accessories, and with different lengths.
Hair adds up beauty to our unique facial features. Also, we look better on some clothes with hair down while on others, we pair them with a bun or a ponytail. Furthermore, it makes us look more exciting than usual when we wear our hair in different ways and different colors. Therefore, we must admit that it also builds confidence and adds grace to wear beautiful, gorgeous hair.
However, due to several factors, our hair may be exposed to different toxins, chemicals, and other triggers that might bring about damages. One of the most common problems we experience is hair dryness and dryness of hair happens because of many reasons. It is possible to have it when we lose hair moisture when we use styling tools and materials that operate through induction. The heat from these tools and materials penetrate our hair and dries it faster than usual which sometimes goes beyond what our hair can handle. Our hair becomes unmanageable, frizzy, and worst, damaged.
Also, strong shampoos, conditioners, other hair treatments, and even tools may contribute to the loss of essential oils. They may contain a large number of chemicals that may cause serious hair damages other than dryness. Brushing and washing too much can also take away naturally produced hair oils. This is in opposition to the myth we believe in about brushing our hair a hundred times before going to bed. It can cause our hair a lot more damages than good.
Additionally, poor nutrition can be a factor in hair dryness. If we continually skip on the kinds of food that give our hair ample nutrients, then this is unhelpful. Finally, the weather with low humidity also takes a toll on our hair as it absorbs moisture from our hair which makes hair difficult to manage, resulting in troublesome and fly-away hair ends. These are a few of the many triggers that may cause hair dryness. Some additional information might be helpful to you as you click here The 5 biggest hair myths.
Temporary Home Remedies
Fortunately, there are several supplies in our pantry that can help us with hair dryness. Avocados, for instance, have nutrients that are helpful to hair growth and beautification. It contains essential vitamins, minerals, and even fatty acids necessary to make our hair healthy-looking. We just need to mix it with egg and let it stand on our hair for 20 minutes and rinse it thoroughly. Using this once a week will bring our hair glow and luster.
Butter or Shea butter can be another temporary cure for hair dryness. All we need to do is spread a generous amount to our hair, leave it for half an hour, and then rinse it. Olive oil also contains fatty acids and antioxidants that can aid hair dryness. All we need to do is massage ½ cup of olive oil to our hair, let it stand for 45 minutes, and rinse. After use, you’ll see a great improvement.
We can also use the tea when rinsing our hair. Different types of tea will cater to different colors of hair (blonde: chamomile; brunette and grey: black tea; red: Rooibos tea). Apple cider vinegar can also function as a mask for damaged hair. Aside from the natural remedies mentioned above, there are several other suggested items that you can use. This site, https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/321850, will give you the detailed steps and procedures in making other temporary home remedies for dry and damaged hair.
Damaged Hair Repair
When hair is damaged, there is somewhat a missing gap within. So, here are three tips that many experts give regarding the repair of damaged hair. First, we should be careful when using accessories and we should consider resting our hair from the push and pull when using these accessories. Then, we can lessen activities that require us to wash our hair more often. Finally, after a bath, it is advisable never to rub our hair with towels.
Easy and Lasting Solutions to Hair Problems
Although there are a lot of home remedies and hair damage repair tips that we can work on and use, I still believe that hair dryness and other serious hair problems should be given a lasting solution. Asidefrom the fact that these home remedies are temporary, they also will take much of our time in terms of preparation and administration. We also note the fact that, although these are available in our pantry, we still are about to figure out how it will work on our hair type. It might bring us to a trial by error experimentation, which may lead to more damages to our hair.

On January 18, 2021, Stonedef Records, Inc., announces that The JPF Music Awards (Just Plain Folks) were announced on December 28, 2020 and that Billboard hit singer/songwriter Fawn® won Best Dance Album, Best Dance Song and placed in the runner-up and finalist positions in three other song and album categories.
Due to COVID – 19, the JPF Music Awards were announced on December 28, 2020 online on the JPF Music YouTube channel at 8pm EST. Winners, runner-ups and the top four album finalists and top six song finalists in each category were disclosed within a two hour and eighteen minute program by JPF Music Organization founder Brian Austin Whitney.
There were 4,203 judges from around the world listening to 71,700 album entries and over 230,000 song entries, with a multi-genre mix of music categories, 63 song categories and 75 album categories. Fawn® won Best Dance Album, “Idiosyncratic” and Best Dance Single, “Small” and won runner-up for Best Holiday Song, “Christmas Time”, the finalist positions for Best Alternative Song, “Over” and Best Holiday Album, “Angels We Have Heard On High.”
Fawn® said: “As a songwriter and independent artist, having this type of recognition is such a blessing. When I learned about the odds of winning or placing in the top five categories, I was blown away. These honors I’ve been given, are from real world listeners and that means a lot to me. I am indebted to Marty Panzer and Pat Pattison for their lyrical mentorship and John Bettis for his encouraging support over the years. I am so grateful an organization Like JPF Music exists. They are a light at the end of a very long, dark tunnel.”
At the online JPF Music Awards, Whitney said: “If you’re a nominee and you don’t show up in the finals tonight, don’t feel bad. It was harder to get a nomination in our awards by the sheer number of entries than it is to get a nomination in the Grammys, so it’s a big achievement.”
If you happen to be in the top six or the top four, I hope that you’ll celebrate! For the first time ever, we have an Honorable Mention category for songs or albums that just missed getting into the top finishers by a single vote or less. 2020 has been rough on everybody and I think this was a great way to have a really positive and upbeat ending to the year. We want to bring as much positive attention as we can to these talents.”
On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, The City of Los Angeles announced the addition of LGBTQ certification to the Los Angeles Business Assistance Virtual Network(BAVN). BAVN is a free online portal provided by the City of Los Angeles and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development that connects businesses with City contracting opportunities. The new qualifications will allow for statistical tracking of certifications to ensure that contracts reflect the diversity of the City.
“I applaud the City’s efforts to expand opportunities in public procurement for our local business community. LGBTQ certification is another step towards further leveling the playing field for small and diverse businesses,” said Los Angeles Board of Public Works President Kevin James. “BAVN is a free and accessible resource that allows us to provide these businesses with the proper tools to succeed and thrive in Los Angeles.”
The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is the exclusive, third-party certification body that will work to verify that eligible businesses are majority-owned by LGBTQ individuals. Once this process is complete, businesses can sign up through BAVN to be notified when contracts are available for bidding and receive guidance through the bidding process. The Bureau of Contract Administration, led by Inspector of Public Works John L. Reamer, Jr., verifies documentation and oversees contracts for the City of Los Angeles.
BAVN currently offers certification for disadvantaged business owners; disabled veterans; minority-owned businesses; women-owned businesses; small, emerging, and local businesses; and more. This allows small and diverse businesses the opportunity to compete with large corporations for contracts. The new LGBTQ certification program will go into effect in the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2019-20 beginning on July 1st.
This announcement comes during the annual celebration of LGBTQ Heritage Month. Additionally, the Los Angeles Board of Public Works recognized a few of the outstanding men and women from the Department of Public Works as part of the month’s festivities.
“Los Angeles has been at the forefront of championing equality since 1967 when Silver Lake’s Black Cat became the site of one of the first LGBTQ demonstrations,” said Los Angeles Board of Public Works Vice President Cecilia Cabello. “While tremendous strides have been made since then, the fight for equal opportunity continues. I’m honored to recognize a few of our LGBTQ brothers and sisters who dedicate their lives to enhancing the quality of life for Angelenos and advocating for inclusiveness in the workplace and beyond.”
The LGBTQ Heritage Month honorees were recognized for their professional accomplishments and contributions to raising awareness of human and civil rights in and out of the workplace. From maintaining our streets and sewers to fixing potholes and collecting trash, these honorees are making a significant impact in their respective fields:
Gaye Chapman, Senior Electrical Inspector, Bureau of Contract Administration: serves as lead project inspector for the L.A. Wastewater Integrated Network Systems (LAWINS) project involving multiple wastewater facilities. She also provides training and guidance to other Bureau of Contract Administration inspectors.
Doug Walters, Chief Sustainability Officer & Chief Resiliency Officer, LA Sanitation and Environment: a proven leader in sustainability and environmental issues who formerly served as Co-Chair of the City’s Gay & Lesbian United Employees organization where he spent 4 years advocating for inclusionary policies for LGBTQ employees within City Departments.
Les Amer, Accounting Clerk, StreetsLA: supports the street pavement preservation program and sidewalk construction program. His work ensures the delivery of materials essential to paving more than 2,200 lane miles and constructing 500,000 square feet of sidewalks annually.

Throughout the course of my career, the LGBTQ+ community has stood behind me, and I’m honored to now have the opportunity to show my support and gratitude by performing at this year’s Opening Ceremony. More than 20, 0000 caring celebrities, elected leaders, corporations, small business and caring participants showed unity to raise funds, education, find the cure for HIV/AIDS and awareness for our next generations with new services and prevention programs.
“Today’s high temperatures did not stop our supporters from turning out in massive numbers and raising $2,375,946,” said AIDS Walk Founder and Senior Organizer Craig R. Hey, Mr. Donald J. Trump made a big mistake to make a general statement on immigrants. As you may see we all united to send a message to the network’s that without us the Latinos your business could not exist.
It is very disappointing what you said but, we hope you learn to keep your mouth shut. Now you can see it very clear that you are not going nowhere with the attitude.
We applaud Univision decision for cutting all ties with your beauty pageant shows: Miss Universe and Miss USA. Now that NBCUniversal does the same they show that they care about the growing Latino/Hispanic immigrant population in the United States of America who has contributed to the better of this country.
Once again what just happened to Mr. Donald J. Trump is his fault and yes he will not make it to The White House. Donald J. Trump it is not personal it is just Business! You are Fired!
On Friday, June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court, the highest court of the United States rules that Same Sex Marriage banning was unconstitutional.
CNN.com reported: In a landmark opinion, a divided Supreme Court on Friday ruled that same-sex couples can marry nationwide, establishing a new civil right and handing gay rights advocates a historic victory.
In the 5-4 ruling, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote for the majority with the four liberal justices. Each of the four conservative justices wrote their own dissent.
Also on Wikipedia states the following: On June 26, 2015, the United States became the twenty-first and most populous country to legalize same-sex marriage, following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. The court ruled that the denial of marriage licenses to same-sex couples violates the Due Process and the Equal Protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. The ruling overturned a previous precedent, Baker v. Nelson.
Starting in 2003, various lower court decisions, state legislation, and popular referendums had already legalized same-sex marriage to some degree in thirty-seven out of fifty U.S. states, in one U.S. territory, and in the District of Columbia. Federal benefits were previously extended to lawfully married same-sex couples following the Supreme Court’s June 2013 decision in United States v. Windsor.
On the same day celebrations were held all over the United States of America.
“Thank you Los Angeles–the hard work begins but I am honored to lead this city for the next four years. Let’s make this a great city again.” twitted Mayor elect Eric Garcetti.
“You can’t look to the stars until you’ve fixed the cracks in the sidewalk,” Los Angeles City Councilmember Eric Garcetti often says. As the third-term councilmember serving the 13th Council District, Garcetti has shown that a commitment to the street-level health of the community is a necessary first step in creating positive change. His unique combination of pothole politics and vision has won measurable results in the 13th District, showing how local solutions can show the way to make our city safer, create transportation solutions, and ease the city’s housing crisis.
A fourth-generation Angeleno, Eric Garcetti was born at Good Samaritan Hospital and grew up in Los Angeles. He won a hotly-contested election to the Los Angeles City Council in 2001, becoming one of the youngest city councilmembers in the city’s history. Over 100 languages are spoken on the streets of his district, from Hollywood to Downtown and across the Los Angeles River. The neighborhoods he represents constitute the beating heart of Los Angeles.
Garcetti was unanimously elected as Council President in December 2005 and unanimously re-elected in July 2007 and July 2009. During his tenure as president, he modernized the council’s legislative assignments, making the council’s committees more reflective of the issues that face Los Angeles.
During his first term in office, Garcetti emerged as an effective local problem-solver and as a strong advocate on citywide and national issues. He led the effort to fund the nation’s largest Affordable Housing Trust Fund, oversaw the economic and cultural revitalization of Hollywood, wrote and championed Proposition O to clean up our local water, won passage of a plan that eliminated the city’s business tax for 60% of all businesses, and helped bring thousands of new high wage jobs to Los Angeles and his district. In his district, he tackled neighborhoods’ most intractable problems, nearly tripled the number of parks, ensuring the availability of an after-school program in every school in the district, and reducing graffiti by more than 60 percent.
Councilmember Garcetti’s work has been recognized in dozens of awards, including the John F. Kennedy New Frontier Award for Americans under 40 who are changing their communities with a commitment to public service; the Green Cross Millennium Award from former President Mikhail Gorbachev, for environmental leadership; a “Tiger Award” from the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, for his work on business tax reform; the New Democrat of the Week recognition from the Democratic Leadership Council, for his work on safety in commercial office buildings and security officers’ working conditions; and the first Olson Award from Human Rights Watch for his human rights activism.
The Los Angeles Times writes that Garcetti is “smart” and “imaginative” and offers the city “refreshing idealism.” He was featured in LA Weekly’s Best of Los Angeles issue and the Los Angeles Alternative Press readers named him “L.A.’s Favorite Elected Official” of 2003. In 2004, The Los Angeles Business Journal named him one of the 25 Angelenos who stand out for their potential to shape lives in Los Angeles. A profile in Los Angeles magazine in 2006 called him “a rising star”.
Prior to his election, Garcetti taught public policy, diplomacy and world affairs at Occidental College and the University of Southern California. In 1998, the Rockefeller Foundation selected him as a Next Generation Leadership Fellow.
Eric Garcetti was raised in the San Fernando Valley. He studied urban planning and political science at Columbia University, where he received his B.A. and M.A. in International Relations. He studied as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and the London School of Economics. He is an avid photographer, jazz pianist and composer. He lives in Silver Lake with his wife, Amy Elaine Wakeland.
