The short film, “Tacos for lunch” comes from Chandan Gupta in order to educate the public about immigration and hopes to show both sides of the issue. Launched in 2013, the short film is 23 minutes and 45 seconds long. It stands out in the middle of the maelstrom that is causing the immigration issue.

In about a month, the creation and writer-director will premiere the film on Channel 22 in Las Vegas Century Prism and states that Joey Valdez, one of the actors in the film, “The aim is to disseminate it through a channel in San Diego before being broadcast in Las Vegas. Everything depends on the space available and given to us.”

When Christine, a single woman, decides to move, she enlists the help from some local day laborers. All seems to be going well, until she leaves to get “Tacos For Lunch”. She returns to a quiet apartment and a dead worker on her floor. The day continues to spiral out of control leading to a series of unexpected crazy twisted events.

The story begins with the removal of Christine (Therese McLauglhin), a US citizen, and her hiring of two Mexican immigrants, Emilio (Joey Valdez) and Paul (Billynaire Cruz), to help move boxes. By the time she leaves the house to grab a few tacos, a series of terrible events happen, culminating into an overwhelming outcome.

“We know we will be successful,” the actor told member of the press. “My agent is communicating with politicians such as Donald J. Trump Sr., to express their thoughts about the film.”

Valdez began his career very young: at age 3 he participated in his first play in the Smythe Elementary School in San Ysidro, California. Subsequently he became Joseph, the husband of the Virgin Mary in a Christmas play, and finally to the early age of 13 officially began studying acting with Drama teacher Enrique Nolasco from the House of Culture in Tijuana, Mexico.

He is now known to have worked for Ed Magik TV, a platform video entertainment and had done interviews with famous people where Valdez was the host of “Vayaconmigo” program, broadcast in Berea Vision 31.6 in Los Angeles, in which he worked with renowned artists such as singer Elvis Crespo.

Valdez is defined as a man “with traditional values who prefers to work hard for a living, rather than compromise his integrity and principles.”

In turn, the actor is a frequent host to celebrities in the online magazine Ke Chevere and as collaborated with singer and actress Carmen Jara on Univision for the show “Who is right” in Miami, which exposes and tries to solve family and marital conflict.

Joey Valdez has also participated in television projects in Indonesia and has worked as a presenter on the red carpet with his old friend Steven Escobar for Diversity News TV produced by Diversity News Productions whose content is broadcast via Youtube and Vimeo, DailyMotion, among other online platforms in video, and is based on entertainment events, celebrity interviews, awards, concerts, fashion and more.

Although the actor is confident everyone will enjoy “Tacos for lunch,” he hopes that the film reaches a significant audience—enough to impact the issues at hand and generate comments in the media, as well as prominent figures, fostering discussion, debate and more empathy towards immigration.

EDITORIAL: Donald J Trump YOU ARE FIRED!

Hey, Mr. Donald J. Trump made a big mistake to make a general statement on immigrants. As you may see we all united to send a message to the network’s that without us the Latinos your business could not exist.

It is very disappointing what you said but, we hope you learn to keep your mouth shut. Now you can see it very clear that you are not going nowhere with the attitude.

We applaud Univision decision for cutting all ties with your beauty pageant shows: Miss Universe and Miss USA. Now that NBCUniversal does the same they show that they care about the growing Latino/Hispanic immigrant population in the United States of America who has contributed to the better of this country.

Once again what just happened to Mr. Donald J. Trump is his fault and yes he will not make it to The White House. Donald J. Trump it is not personal it is just Business! You are Fired!

Breaking News: Miss Universe Organization Statement on Miss USA and Miss Universe Beauty Pageants

MISS USA AND MISS UNIVERSE THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

As you may have seen earlier today Monday, June 29, 2015 our breaking news story on NBCUniversal dropping Miss USA and Miss Universe beauty pageants from the networks due to the derogatory statements on Immigrants made by it’s co-owner and producer Mr. Donald J. Trump. Also Mexico’s Televisa  and Carlos Slim from Ora TV ends relationship with Miss Universe.

To be fair and heard both sides, we contacted Miss Universe Organization in New York, NY to get a statement and here is what we received, you can see it and read below their statement. You can read that Miss Universe Organization (MUO) is trying to separate from Mr. Donald J. Trump Sr.

The 2015 MISS USA® Pageant will still take place in Baton Rouge on July 12th. We are disheartened by recent events but the show will go on.

The Miss Universe Organization operates as an independent company. In its 64 year history, and under many owners, Miss Universe has developed into a globally recognized brand, with nearly 150 franchise holders domestically and internationally, the majority of whom are small business owners.

The Miss Universe Organization is built on a foundation of inclusion and continues to be a celebration of diversity and of all cultures. This year’s Miss USA contestants represent many different ethnic backgrounds, including six Latinas (four of whom are of Mexican descent).

Annually, nearly ten thousand young women all around the world participate in MISS UNIVERSE pageant events. We continue to welcome those from all backgrounds to enter our system. Our franchisees work tirelessly every day to empower young women to be confident and to be their personal best while raising awareness and millions of dollars for philanthropic endeavors.

While world politics and other influences will undoubtedly play a role, the pageant will always seek to transcend controversy. It is unfortunate that recent events beyond our control have only served to negatively impact the women who participate in the pageant, our state directors, our sponsors and our fans. We want our supporters to know we remain committed to them and we will be conducting the pageant, regardless of the current situation. We are moving forward, full-steam ahead as planned for the next two weeks, culminating in the crowning of a new Miss USA on July 12th .

EDITOR’S NOTE: You see the show must go on. Here at Diversity News Magazine, Diversity News TV and Diversity News Radio we will try to keep you updated on any news developments and possible coverage of Miss USA and Miss Universe. If a network picks the broadcast will you consider to watch them? of if they broadcast the show online? Will you watch? Please leave your comments.
