ENSE Music Releases “Dark Day” by Marlon Saunders

On Wednesday, August 12, 2020 Singer-songwriter and record producer Marlon Saunders has released a new song “Dark Day” on ENSE Music.

“Dark Day” is a virtual collaboration with music producer, classical/jazz pianist and all-around synth nerd, John Manni.

John said, “I feel like we actually did something to be proud of, we created something that will make a dent in the world for the better, something to help continued change and give hope at the same time. There were zero egos involved, just the great creator’s work working through us and I am thankful for every single second of this process.”

Also Marlon Saunders said, “The song speaks to the complexities we are facing in The United States of America with systemic racism and systemic racism. The idea of Jesus singing the blues, for me is a very powerful image, allowing the mind to imagine Jesus having a dark hue that is not European.”

“I tried to weave what we are seeing in our country today—the senseless killings of black bodies, hoping conversations could be shared with the idea of honoring life and all black lives. I pray one day we will hold space that is not entangled in hatred.” concluded Marlon

Marlon is a Berklee College Of Music Alumni and veteran in the music industry. He has worked with various artists such as Michael Jackson, Cynthia Erivo, Lauryn Hill, Javier Colon, Billy Joel, Sting, Bobby McFerrin, Joe Henderson, Ron Carter, Shawn Colvin, Nine Inch Nails, Jane Siberry, Shania Twain, Martha Wash, and Dance Theatre of Harlem and has toured and gathered singers and directed choirs for artists such as Stevie Wonder, Sam Smith, Logic, Mondo Cozmo and Andrea Bocelli.

Marlon has contributed to the video game scene as well, particularly games made by Sega. He is best known for doing vocals on both versions of Knuckles’ theme, “Unknown From M.E.” in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2. Marlon also performs on the soundtrack to the Burning Rangers game, singing one of the ending songs, “We are Burning Rangers” and has performed a Christmas a cappella version of “Dreams Dreams”, the theme from Night Into Dreams with a small vocal ensemble that can be heard during the ending credits of Christmas Nights as well as on its soundtrack.

Marlon also made a brief appearance in the film Enchanted as a calypso singer who sings “That’s How You Know” with Amy Adams and made a cameo appearance in Billboard Hit singer-songwriter Fawn’s song “Wait For The Sun Black Lives Matter”.

WRITING FORMAT:

DiversityNewsMagazine.org formerly DiversityNewsMagazineDotcom Staff and Contributors/Reporters writing format is by utilizing the Five W’s and one H. What are the Five W’s and One H? They are: Who, What, Why, When, Where and How. Why are the Five W’s and One H important? Journalism purists will argue your story isn’t complete until you answer all six questions. It’s hard to argue this point, since missing any of these questions leaves a hole in your story. Even if you’re not reporting on the news of the day, this concept could be useful in many professional writing scenarios.

Diversity News Magazine contributors can only have photos of themselves on the article/story but they can not mention their name in the body of the article/story because their byline is already there.

STORY/ARTICLES REQUIREMENTS:

In general, we expect freelancers to use good journalism and solid writing in their Diversity News Magazine articles. Here are some specific requirements we ask of our freelancers:

  • Multiple sources. A minimum of two sources. A 450-word story should have no fewer than two sources; a 800-word story should have no fewer than three sources. Occasionally, some short Diversity News Magazine stories/articles have just one source, but that is rare. Bottom line: Do thorough reporting.

  • Diverse sources. DiversityNewsMagazine.org formerly DiversityNewsMagazineDotcom has a worldwide circulation in the internet. We are based in Hollywood, California but we are expanding to major cities of the United States and abroad. So it’s important to us that our sources reflect our readership. Freelancers don’t have to hit every county we cover, but they should have sources from more than one. And the more counties covered, the better.

  • Sidebars. Any story 1,000 words or more should have at least one sidebar. Sometimes it’s an info box referring readers to more information from a local organization. Sometimes it’s a list of tips related to the story’s subject. Readers like having information broken up for them and they enjoy multiple points of entry into a story, so we value freelancers who are mindful of that.

City of Los Angeles Announces New LGBTQ Certification For Business Assistance Virtual Network

On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, The City of Los Angeles announced the addition of LGBTQ certification to the Los Angeles Business Assistance Virtual Network(BAVN). BAVN is a free online portal provided by the City of Los Angeles and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development that connects businesses with City contracting opportunities. The new qualifications will allow for statistical tracking of certifications to ensure that contracts reflect the diversity of the City.

“I applaud the City’s efforts to expand opportunities in public procurement for our local business community. LGBTQ certification is another step towards further leveling the playing field for small and diverse businesses,” said Los Angeles Board of Public Works President Kevin James. “BAVN is a free and accessible resource that allows us to provide these businesses with the proper tools to succeed and thrive in Los Angeles.”

The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is the exclusive, third-party certification body that will work to verify that eligible businesses are majority-owned by LGBTQ individuals. Once this process is complete, businesses can sign up through BAVN to be notified when contracts are available for bidding and receive guidance through the bidding process. The Bureau of Contract Administration, led by Inspector of Public Works John L. Reamer, Jr., verifies documentation and oversees contracts for the City of Los Angeles.

BAVN currently offers certification for disadvantaged business owners; disabled veterans; minority-owned businesses; women-owned businesses; small, emerging, and local businesses; and more. This allows small and diverse businesses the opportunity to compete with large corporations for contracts. The new LGBTQ certification program will go into effect in the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2019-20 beginning on July 1st.

This announcement comes during the annual celebration of LGBTQ Heritage Month. Additionally, the Los Angeles Board of Public Works recognized a few of the outstanding men and women from the Department of Public Works as part of the month’s festivities.

“Los Angeles has been at the forefront of championing equality since 1967 when Silver Lake’s Black Cat became the site of one of the first LGBTQ demonstrations,” said Los Angeles Board of Public Works Vice President Cecilia Cabello. “While tremendous strides have been made since then, the fight for equal opportunity continues. Esteban Steven Escobar Letter To The Honorable Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi

Photo Credit To: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

May 5, 2019  Sent To office via U.S. Mail

The Honorable Nancy Pelosi

U.S. House of Representatives

Office of the Democratic Leader

H-204, US Capitol

Washington, DC 20515

RE: Donald J. Trump Impeachment and Inauguration of Hillary Rodham Clinton as the Truth 45th U.S. President Voted and Elected by The People.

Dear Speaker Pelosi,

First, I want to congratulate you for been elected Speaker of the House by members of Congress. I hope this letter find you well.

Now let’s get to my point of this letter. As you know we have a president in the White House whom doesn’t deserve to be seated and getting pay more than Half a million including lots of perks. Well, money is not the issue here. The issue is that Mr. Donald J. Trump thinks he is beyond the law and he doesn’t have to follow it.

Let me share my little story and what I have been told since I arrived to America. I became a naturalized US Citizen on May 20, 2015 and I was able to do so by living by the rules and following the laws, learning the language, working hard, filing/paying state and federal taxes, and being a good person. After 25 years I become a naturalized US Citizen.

My point here why Mr. Trump feels he can break the rules especially the US Constitution set and signed by our Founding Fathers of the United States?

I want to ask you and do the right thing this time. I know when president George W. Bush you refused to start impeachment process. Well this time, I urge and ask you to start the impeachment process against the worse president of the USA who is a scammer, con artist, traitor, thief, liar, racist, sick, cheater, corrupt and more. You know I am talking about Donald J. Trump who won the elections by cheating and working with Russian to interference in the 2016 United States elections.

So on the next congress assembly I ask you before Mr. Trump walk in you tell congress that you have a “Motion” and is “Impeachment” and the you want them to start on it now. The members of congress they know whom you want the impeachment and they know what they have to do next.

You tell members of congress to take away everything from the fake president, evict him and his family as well his puppets and give them 24 hours to vacate the premises. Mr. Trump has created shell companies overseas and have been transferring/wiring money from the US Treasure Department. He is stealing the US people money because he knows he may be lock up in jail for been the corrupted president of the USA. Don’t allow him to finish his term that will be a huge mistake on your part.

After the is done you ask members of Congress to start the process to inaugurate Hillary Rodham Clinton as the 45th US President. Hillary Rodham Clinton is the truth elected by the People of the USA. Here are the numbers that shows she won with a huge margin: 2016 Presidential Election

Candidate

Party

Popular Votes

Donald J. Trump Republican 62,980,160
Hillary R. Clinton Democratic 65,845,063

Hillary Rodham Clinton has the skills and experience and if you have forgotten I am cutting and pasting here what it shows on Wikipedia: Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (née Rodham; born October 26, 1947) is an American politician, diplomat, lawyer, writer, and public speaker. She served as the First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001, U.S. Senator from New York from 2001 to 2009, 67thUnited States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013, and as the Democratic Party‘s nominee for President of the United States in the 2016 election, the first woman nominated by a major party.

Clinton made a second presidential run in 2016. She received the most votes and primary delegates in the 2016 Democratic primaries and formally accepted her party’s nomination for President of the United States on July 28, 2016, with vice presidentialrunning mate Senator from Virginia Tim Kaine. She lost the presidential election to Republican opponent Donald Trump in the Electoral College, despite winning a plurality of the popular vote. She received more than 65 million votes, the 3rd-highest count in a U.S. presidential election, behind Obama’s victories in 2008 and 2012.

As you see she have tried two times and for sure on the second time she is a truth winner but Donald J. Trump cheated. So I ask you to do the right thing. Ignarute Hillary Rodham Clinton as the truth winner 45th US President after Trump impeachment. If you don’t make this happen, the American people will blame and dislike you. The haters will eat you alive like they did with President Barack Obama.

For your information if you don’t do this, Bernie Sanders may win the elections because my independent research with the public from different demographics and financial backgrounds they tell me they voted for Trump but their vote will go to Bernie Sanders. In my opinion Mr. Sanders will not be tough and I don’t think he can handle the job as president of the USA because of his age and health condition. So make your executive decision to call the Motion on the floor of Impeachment at the next Congress meeting.

Honorable Speaker Nancy Pelosi, You must do this and set it on the record due to the fact that if you don’t your political career may be over. Currently you have lot of favoritism with the American people because of your toughness and be straight forward to the fake president. If you show your weakness the American people will ask member of congress to select another speaker of the house.

As a Salvadorean and 100% Latino that I am, but naturalized US citizen. I am so proud of your accomplishments and I still believe we can if we continue following the rules set by our founder fathers of the US; we can reach the American Dream on the promise land of the free.

Lastly, I want to share with you my short biography: Esteban A. Escobar aka Steven Escobar  (born in El Salvador, Central America on September 6th and U.S. Naturalized on May 20, 2015). Steven Escobar is a multi-award winning American journalist, reporter, editor, columnist, writer, producer, director, publicist, radio personality, entrepreneur, accounts receivable specialist, social media-savvy, humanitarian and philanthropist. Honorable Speaker Nancy Pelosi, I hope to heard back from you and please don’t disappoint me because I am educating people telling that you have fake president Donald J. Trump on a leash.

RE: Amazon Flex issues in Southern CA stations

Dear Mr. Bezos,

First, I want to congratulate you on your recent divorce with Mackenzie who gave you her other 25% of her shares without creating a legal expense fight. Now you control 75% of Amazon shares and which is equal to 12% stakes of the company and more power to you Sir.

Also congratulations for owning The Washington Post. Once again congratulations to be another Steve Jobs genius with so many ventures and becoming one of the billionaires of the world.

However my reason to contact you is because I have been a partner with your company as an individual and company. Yes I have two dba partnership with your company you can visit them at www.diversitynewsmagazine.org and diversitypbandmediasgroup.com

Unfortunately Google changed the rules so money been very slow. You can’t even survive with the pennies they pay you for displaying ads. You as publisher of the Washington Post must know it since print is almost dead and online is having too much competition and revenue has increased. The cost of living keeps increasing every year and salaries are not.

Credit to: Amazon Flex

So, I jointed your Amazon Flex program on May 2018 and sometimes is great but no benefits and lots of gas expenses and car tear and wear. Not sure if you know how your stations were set up but I will give you a brief summary. In the Los Angeles County, you have East Los Angeles (DLA3) – Commerce area, Rosemead (DPS1) – El Monte area, Hawthorne – LAX area, Chino, Canoga Park – San Fernando Valley area, Irvine – Orange County area. As you may see what motivates a person to sign up for Amazon Flex is the area they are supposed to be serving. I sign up with Amazon Flex when I was living in Cudahy, CA. At the time I got Palm Springs which is very far. However later I found out of Canoga Park. I went and I did two blocks the same day.
Later I found there was one in East Los Angeles – Commerce area. I contacted support and they did the change and say that the program was open to regions and don’t need to swift because it

will show up on the app. My Amazon Flex app is set to Greater Los Angeles region. So I started to do East LA, Rosemead, Irvine and Chino stations.
Here is the issue that needs to be fixed at your stations. Last year I started to get routes from Rosemead to Orange County. I did some but because I do have a life and live in the San Gabriel Valley area I expect to work in the area not been sent over 30 miles to Orange County where I have no business to do. So I have declined couple blocks. Because your staff at the station are unprofessional and uncooperative I been trying other stations like East LA. Well they are doing the same thing sending a person away from the area. Not sure if you know what is considered East LA area? Or San Gabriel Valley area?
Please visit Wikipedia to learn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Gabriel_Valley

However I will cut and paste some of the source information here: The San Gabriel Valley is in Los Angeles County. The incorporated cities and unincorporated neighborhoods of the San Gabriel Valley include: Altadena, Alhambra, Arcadia, Avocado Heights, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bassett, Bradbury, Charter Oak, Citrus, City of Industry, Claremont, Covina, Diamond Bar, Duarte, East Pasadena, El Monte, Glendora, Hacienda Heights, Hillgrove, Irwindale, La Puente, La Verne, Los Angeles (El Sereno).

Here is another source by Wikipedia: City of Los Angeles neighborhoods of the San Fernando Valley: Arleta, Cahuenga Pass, Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Encino, Granada Hills, La Tuna Canyon
Lake Balboa, Lake View Terrace, Mission Hills, NoHo Arts District, North Hills, North
Hollywood, Northridge, Pacoima, Panorama City, Porter Ranch, Reseda, Shadow Hills+,
Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Sun Valley, Sunland-Tujunga, Sylmar, Tarzana, Toluca Lake
Valley Glen, Valley Village, Van Nuys, Warner Center, West Hills, Winnetka, Woodland Hills.

Dear Mr. Bezos, I can go on and on but you know which the current gas prices and because we have a life and your organization management decided to hire Vans to provide over $300K, they get uniforms, cellphone and lots of business while we don’t. (Please click on link https://logistics.amazon.com/marketing/opportunity).

I honestly I been telling your staff to give those jobs to your business partners not us the
individual partners that we have a life in the neighborhood we live in. Today the East LA station was sending me to Long Beach. Give me a break I don’t know the area well, neither I have any business to do there. Do you know that sone cities has been issuing us parking tickets? We have to deal with it. In the past Rosemead has sent us to La Habra, Fullerton those areas are Orange County which belongs to Irvine station. Rosemead has sent us to North Hollywood, Compton!
North Hollywood belongs to Canoga Park and Compton belowns to Hawthorne stations. Your
management needs training in geography. By the way they can save your company lots of $$$$$
if they stop doing that because that make us go over the block time and your company needs to
pay extra money

FYI, recently the Superior Court of the County of Los Angeles ruled in favor of independent
contractors that a company like you can not set quotas or force an independent contractor to do something that they don’t wish because that will make us your employees. I don’t mind to become an Amazon employee so if that what you want let your management to do so.

Here is Los Angeles Times article on the recent court ruling
https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-independent-contract-20180430-story.html Also
read California court rules gig worker initiative unconstitutional

Breaking News: Some of your current employees are trying to file a class action lawsuit against Amazon and they are reaching to us as well the independent Amazon flex to join. I haven’t taken an action but perhaps I should?

Come on, let’s be human here and not to abuse each other resources and use the current
resources you have.

Anyway, I hope to heard from you soon and I hope some action to be taken immediately across North, South, East and West of CA.

If you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 213-321- 9408 cellular or via U.S. mail to the above addresses, fax any correspondence to: 818-231-7370, Also via emails to: diversity@hotmail.com, escobarestebana@gmail.com or eae@att.net

How to Kill Time During the Winter Months

Winter often means that it’s too cold to go outside, the roads are impassable and there are fewer daylight hours. During warmer times, there’s a ton of fun activities you get to do for fun. But come winter, crickets are chirping in your head without any worthwhile ideas to do to pass time.

Staying indoors is considered boring, plain and repetitive, but if you’re open-minded, there are some really fun activities you can do to keep yourself entertained at home. Here are some great ideas on how to kill time during the winter months.

Read an Interesting Book

Are you one of those guys who buys a ton of books but never gets to read them? Winter time is a great time for you to finally get some quiet time and start reading an interesting book. If you have none at home, you can search online for some of the best sellers on a variety of genres. Here you’ll find an endless list of books to get lost in at least until winter is over.

Try Your Luck Online

Gambling is something that people have turned to for fun for years. Playing online, is a new way of gambling that is fast gathering momentum. How about giving it a shot this winter. If you are quite new at online gambling you can find the best online sites here, no need to worry, just follow the easy sign-up process and you’ll be fine.

Always Start by choosing a credible online site regulated and licensed.

Cook Some Good Food

Everyone has that one or two dishes they love ordering in from their favorite restaurant. Now that you’re indoors, it may be a good time to try out the recipe. In fact, why not make enough food that you can pack in smaller containers and store in the fridge to last you a few days.

What’s more, you can try to make your own original cocktails to sip as you eat the warm dish you made yourself. Cooking is a great way to warm up during the cold winter.

Watch the Latest Movies

Each year, lots of movies and TV series are released. If you love to cover yourself and stay warm during the winter, his is the plan. They keep you occupied and entertained. Movies have a way of leaving you in high spirits. With numerous free movie sites available online, it would take ages for you to watch everything available. Start with Game of Thrones, The Passage, The Crown, and wile at it, try Start UP.

Pick Out a New Hobby

If you like riding bikes as a hobby, for instance, it can be challenging to keep up during the winter. Have you thought about finding alternative hobbies to kill time? How about knitting, drawing or painting? These three are good hobbies to take up because they are easy to learn even if you’re trying them for the first time.

Plus, hobbies have a way of whetting your creative side. For example, you may be surprised to find out how great you are at painting.

Conclusion

Winter doesn’t have to be that time of the year that you look down on. With the activity ideas suggested above, the winter season is surely going to be a season you anticipate.

Amazon Flex Temple City – Rosemead Drivers Boycott Station

On Saturday, February 9, 2019 lots of Amazon Flex Rosemead evening shots did not show up for their 4, 5, 6 and 7 pm blocks because they have been sent far and over the San Gabriel Valley area where they sign up to deliver packages.

Amazon Flex Temple City – Rosemead has been abusing them by sending them drive all over the Lia Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County and more without adding extra compensation. Yes Amazon Flex has been paying $18 and hour but the drivers has to deal with tear and wear on their cars, gas, miles, dark nights, cold, raining and hot days with no perks or benefits.

Per Wikipedia it list the San Gabriel Valley as following:

The San Gabriel Valley is in Los Angeles County. The incorporated cities and unincorporated neighborhoods of the San Gabriel Valley include:

Amazon Flex drivers are not getting pay extra during the evening, weekends or holidays which a billion company like Amazon should pay to their employees or partners in this case Amazon Flex individual partners. Companies are supposed to pay extra for weekends, evening and holidays. Do you know some companies even pay more to those employees that work during those times them their 7 to 4, 8 to 5, 9 to 6 employees.

Amazon Flex do not like for Amazon Flex to give packages when they know those are opposite direction from their main route and If you return them at the end of the block they question you by been mad.

On top of that If you decide to finish your block even though you went over they don’t even want to pay you extra. If they pay you they pay you regular hourly rate but in some cases you took a surge so they need to pay at those rates.

Yes Amazon Flex has been treating better the Amazon Flex business partners because they have a van and a business but the fact is that they are doing the same work except they can take more packages but they have a week to deliver them. Amazon has been offering on it is logistics website the following perks:

Access to exclusive deals
Leveraging Amazon’s deals makes the entire setup process easy. We’ve negotiated exclusive deals on startup assets and ongoing business management services with top-in- class third-party providers to help you get your business started for as little as $10,000.
• Amazon-branded vehicles customized for delivery
• Vehicle maintenance
• Vehicle insurance
• Fuel program
• Professional uniforms
• Industrial-grade handheld devices
• Recruitment tool discounts
• Payroll, tax, and accounting services
• Health benefits and employee services • Legal support

Amazon Flex business drivers they make $300K a year, get a branded Amazon van, uniforms, gas allowance, cellphone, extra pay and they can choose their routes while the Amazon Flex individual partners are force to drive more than 25 to 45 miles away with no extra compensation or perks.

So if you a consumer and don’t get your packages on tine call Amazon and ask for reimbursement on delivery fee also be mindful that Amazon is discriminating the hard working individual people. Amazon Flex was suppose to be a fun and relaxing gig but it has become stressful Which is making drivers sick. Amazon flex drivers don’t get breaks or lunch time even don’t have a place to pee and poo.

Perhaps Amazon Flex drivers should start a class action lawsuit against giant internet company Amazon, Jeff Bezos, their investors and board of directors? like it was ruled by a judge recently in Los Angeles county against Lyft that their drivers are not contractors when they are forced to do quotas and lots or rules that they need to follow while working in the logistics business. You can read

Los Angeles Times article published on April 30, 2018 headline: California’s top court makes it more difficult for employers to classify workers as independent contractors.

Rosemead station needs help to organize blocks or route because they are giving routes of blocks out of the service area such as North Hollywood, Compton, Buena Park, Bell Flower etc. Rosemead station is supposed to service the following areas in the San Gabriel Valley

Altadena

Alhambra

Arcadia

Avocado Heights

Azusa

Baldwin Park

Bassett

Bradbury

Charter Oak

Citrus

City of Industry

Claremont

Covina

Diamond Bar

Duarte

East Pasadena

El Monte

Glendora

Hacienda Heights

Hillgrove

Irwindale

La Puente

La Verne

Mayflower Village

Monrovia

Monterey Park

North El Monte

Pasadena

Pomona

Rosemead

Rowland Heights

San Dimas

San Gabriel

San Marino

San Pasqual

Sierra Madre

South El Monte

South Pasadena

South San Gabriel

South San Jose Hills

Temple City

Valinda

Vincent

Walnut

West Covina

West Puente Valley

That’s why those drivers sign up to drive in their communities.

Amazon Flex Drivers are contractors should not be force to do quantity or drive areas that they did not sign up for because they are not employees of Amazon.

So consumers may need to think twice before you agree to buy Amazon products and pay for delivery.

How To Clean Your Jeep’s Rooftop Tent After Camping

After you have had a successful jeep rooftop camping trip, you will want to clean your tent before storage. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, cleaning your gear all the time is one of the prices that you have to pay. However, this is nothing as compared to the fun that you get outdoors. Even if this is your first time to clean a rooftop tent after camping, with the actionable tips that you will get here, it will be easy.

Remove all the superficial dirt

If they are dry, they should come off easily. However, they will leave visible stains in the spots where the dirt lumps had stuck. Get rid of the dust, you know, the general dirt that a tent collects when in use.

This is sticky dirt, you know, things like mud and bird droppings that you can scrub out. This is usually the first step to take towards cleaning your jeep roof top tent. With a blunt object, gently scrub at the sticky stains.

A soft-bristled brush should do the job just fine. You may also vacuum the tent to get rid of all the superficial dirt.

Cleaning a tent that has mildew or mold

If you have been camping in moist conditions, it is possible that the tent developed mildew and mold. There is not always enough time to dry the tent before packing it away in its storage pack or carry bag. When you store a wet tent, you create a perfect recipe for the formation of mildew.

You must clean off the mildew in the soonest possible time. You should open the tent fully and clean it with a Lysol (or any other) cleaning solution, just make the Lysol cleaning solution about one cup to one gallon of hot water.

With a sponge, dub this hot solution onto the tent, let it stay a bit and then rinse it off with a lemon solution. After that, just let the tent dry in the sun, making sure to straighten out all the folds so that the sun gets to all places.

Cleaning a tent that smells

When you pack a wet tent and let it stay too long, mildew (as explained above) can form a nasty smell on the tent. Believe it or not, nothing is nastier than a tent that smells! You have to get rid of the smell because if you do not, you will never use that tent again.

There are many causes of a smelly tent. One, it could be the usual dirt and grime of which there is more than a fair share when camping. Secondly, it could be mold and mildew and thirdly, it could be the polyurethane breaking down (mostly happens with old tents).

Hang the tent to dry through the smell. That is right, a clothesline and pegs. You can then take the tent through the cleaning procedure for taking off the mildew and the mold. However, after that, you will have to clean the tent specifically to get rid of the smell.

A vinegar mixture (homemade) is a good remedy for odor. So is a store-bought enzyme cleaner, and there are many of these. Because bacteria usually cause the nasty smell, the enzyme cleaner is going to kill the bacteria. Just wear gloves to protect your hands. Also, ensure the enzyme cleaner is organic so that it doesn’t eat through your tent. The best mixture should be a half-ounce of enzyme cleaner to 20 gallons of water.

Give your tent some good aftercare

Dry the tent under the sun, and then do proper sealing of the seams, and … you may have to reapply a polyurethane coating, if it was worn out.

These are some very useful tips you can use to clean your jeep’s rooftop after a camping trip. Tuff Stuff 4×4 is a great place to find all kinds of roof top tents, winches, bumpers, camping gears and accessories and so on.

Reasons Why Vehicle Depreciation Will Rise in 2019

Being in the vehicle business is a sensitive affair that requires the calculation of risks. As people buy new cars, they are concerned with the resale value ranging from a few years after the purchase to several years. Fleet management companies, especially those dealing with high-end services spend a lot of money to buy state-of-the-art vehicles but lose a lot of money when selling them or disposing of them.

Typically, the used vehicle market is unfair to car owners. For certain reasons, the rate of depreciation for vehicles has been expanding in recent years. If you are in a business that deals with vehicles, you should read this article to know the main reasons why the depreciation will rise even more in 2019.

More Vehicles Manufactured

In 2018, more people bought their first cars than in previous years. This number is expected to be on the rise this year. As a result of this, the manufacturers are now producing more vehicles than ever. This means that used cars are growing in number as well. Consequently, it is now easier to find someone who is willing to dispose of a used vehicle by selling it than in previous years. According to experts, this competition in used car sales has brought down the price of used cars and increased depreciation.

More Fleet Companies

Fleet owners are now spending more money to refresh their vehicles and add new ones. It is easy to find these vehicles being auctioned all over the internet at low prices. Fleet companies that are purchasing new vehicles want to sell their old vehicles as fast as possible to get money for other operations. Although these used vehicles have added features like GPS, dashcams and touchscreens that were bought and installed by reputable experts like like EyeRideOnline, the vehicles are expected to sell at lower prices than ever in 2019.

Design Changes

Recently, vehicle manufacturers have been making numerous changes to the vehicles. Surprisingly, the face-lifting of designs has everything to do with how vehicles depreciate. It is a no-brainer that people want to drive attractive vehicles that make them stand out on the road.

In 2020, over 60 percent of vehicle manufacturers are expected to change the designs of their popular models. Actually, most of them have offered a glimpse of how their next generation vehicles will look. According to analysts, many first-time car buyers would rather wait for one more year to buy these vehicles. This will cause more depreciation of used vehicles in 2019.2018-BMW-DiversityNewsMagazine.org

Vehicle Technology

As manufacturers develop more sophisticated vehicle technology solutions, the previous models tend to depreciate at a high rate. According to the trend, there is always new technology that is being added to the newly released models. In this regard, no one wants to buy a used vehicle with few features to enjoy while the new ones have better options.

In 2019, the rate of depreciation of used vehicles will be on the rise as people chase the latest generation of vehicles. In fact, these latest vehicles are offering more and better features than ever.

Buying Guide for Yamaha XSR700 OEM & Aftermarket Parts

If you need a bike that has incredible linear acceleration, good torque, 74 horsepower and a super light chassis, they do not come any better than the Yamaha XSR700. However, straight from the showroom, this bike will meet your needs as perfectly. Still you might want to customize it a little bit in your own way replacing some of the stock parts with better aftermarket parts after few years of driving it. OEM motorcycle parts restore the bike to its original condition. Aftermarket parts increase performance, handling, stability and your riding comfort.

Here are some of the Yamaha aftermarket parts that you should get for your Yamaha XSR700:

Air And Fuel Parts

Stock air and fuel filters for the Yamaha XSR700 are good, but their OEM counterparts are even better. If you want more power, you will have to increase the air intake so that your bike burns more fuel.

Using a part finder website will bring you many options for places where you can get these parts. For example, a K&N air filter for your Yamaha can cost anywhere from $40. A BikeMaster fuel filter can cost anything from $10 dollars. Remember, it all depends on where you get your OEM parts.

Exhaust Systems And Pipes

Many people do not like the stock exhaust system and pipe that the Yamaha XSR700 comes with. It is easy to replace or improve this part. You may want to try slip-on add-ons, which will enhance the rumble of your bike.

Companies like MotorSport have full exhaust systems for this Yamaha bike. This will cost you a tidy sum of money but hey, anything for your bike! Slip-ons include chrome mufflers from names like Spark. A slip-on muffler can reduce the air intake restrictions to the engine. Other things that you may consider include exhaust decibel killer baffles for a more silent ride.

Aftermarket Brakes

We all know that stock brakes do not give your Yamaha the best stopping power. Installing aftermarket brake pads and Kevlar/stainless steel-coated lines from aftermarket suppliers is a good option. HH brake pads, EBC brake rotor and Vortex brake and clutch lever kits are all good choices for your bike.

Dash And Gauges

With dashes, computers and gauges from Starlane, you can change the looks of your bike in a few moments. Data acquisition systems, Stealth GPS with Mapping, Radar and Laser detect systems and many more are available from aftermarket parts providers. You may even include the head unit and the sensors. From some of the parts that are mentioned here, you can see that just about anything on your Yamaha is replaceable.

If your bike has damaged any of the above, or even more parts, you can just buy OEM parts to restore it to its original glory. Buying aftermarket or OEM depends on your needs.
